Roma Balwani, a Graduate in Economics, with a Post-Graduation in Marketing from Mumbai University,is the Director at Strategic Resources Group and also an Independent Director of CMI FPE Ltd.
Roma has over three decades of experience in various aspects of strategic communications. In her previous role as President, Group Communications
and Sustainable Development at Vedanta Resources plc, she has been responsible for driving Group Communications, Sustainability & CSR as a strategic function across the group. Prior to joining Vedanta, she was the Chief Group Communications Officer at Mahindra Group, India.
At Vedanta, her key portfolios included sustainable development, brand management, stakeholder engagement and group communication. She has been the member of the Group Executive Committee which comprises the leadership team at Vedanta.
She has overseen the key portfolios of Sustainability & CSR and champions best practices for sustainable measures on health, safety and environment to sustain the ‘social license to operate’. The community development initiatives focusing on education, women empowerment and health, have benefited over 4 million people globally in the last year.
She has been instrumental in planning and implementing the media strategy which was launched in print this year, as well as rolled out across Digital & OOH platforms, with a budget of Rs. 100 crore. Under her stewardshiplast year, she oversaw the Vedanta’s brand augmentation with a refreshed logo and the name change of the company from Sesa Sterlite to Vedanta,which resulted in a unified branding and strengthened linkage between the global businesses, communities and stakeholders. It is a significant milestone that promises a united vision and aligned identity.
Her focus on stakeholder engagement globally has included transparent dialogue on the ‘Social License to Operate’ with socially responsible investors, bankers, lenders, business partners, civil society and trade bodies.
Over the year Vedanta was ranked by the Confederation of Indian Industry, a prestigious trade body,as one of the top 10 sustainability companies in India with the Sustainability Plus label. Vedanta’s approach was also recognized by Oxfam International’s India Responsible Index report, which named Vedanta as a leader in the ‘Community as Stakeholder’ category alongside India’s top companies.
She speaks at several summits on Sustainable Development & Communications. In over 30 years of experience she has won several Indian and International awards and accolades. Roma has the distinction of being included in the PR Week Global Power Book 2015, South East Asia.

M.S. BALI joined the Indian Police Service (I.P.S.) in the year 1976 as an Assistant Superintendent of Police and retired in February 2011 as Special Director General of Police.
During these 35 years he served both in the state police as well as in the Government of India, covering aspects of vigilance, investigation, security and law & order.
Mr Bali has received three prestigious medals from the Government of India namely, ‘President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service’ in 2002,
‘Police Medal for Meritorious Service’ in 1996 and Medal for ‘Service in difficult areas’ besides many other commendation letters from superiors.
After passing out of the Police Academy in the year 1977, he served in various positions in the Uttar Pradesh state police.
He joined the Central Bureau of Investigation (C.B.I-Government of India) in 1994 where he worked as in charge of the Anti-Corruption branch, New Delhi as Joint Director (I.G) .During this period he conducted and supervised investigations of several high profile cases.
He was also given special assignment of getting “new CBI special courts” sanctioned in the entire country by liaisoning with the honorable High Courts, which was concluded with excellent results.
From May 2002 to May 2004, Mr Bali worked as Inspector General (Law and order) in the State of Tripura.
In May 2004, he joined Government of India in The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and was made in charge of setting up a new unit looking after the aviation security of all the major civilian airports of India. He served there as Special Director General in charge of Airport sector of CISF.
In 1994 he was chosen to organize the General Assembly of Interpol in Delhi. In 1996 he was nominated to attend a seminar in Interpol Headquarters at Lyons (France) and from August –November 1998, a training course on Effective Countermeasures against Economic Crime and Computer Crime in UNAFEI, Japan.
After retirement from the Indian Police Service in Feb 2011, he worked on a UNODC sponsored Project (No. MEXX 62) as independent UN contractor for evaluation of the New Mexico Federal Police from Feb to May 2012. He was also appointed as Chairperson of the SIT constituted by the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court Chandigarh in 2013-14 for enquiring into allegations in the matter of the recruitment of doctors in the PCMS by the Punjab Public Service Commission. He is member of Delhi Bar Council and is now working as a Legal & Security Consultant.
Chetan Tolia bringsexperience of working in large organizations. In a 30-year career in Tata companies, he has led two companies as the CEO, established and scaled up two start-ups, led one institutional turnaround, headed two functional verticals, and integrated one large acquired business, seamlessly transitioning between various roles and positions.He has Board level experience, as a Director on the Board of ten Tata Companies.
He wasthe CEO & ED of WREPL, a company that Tata Power acquired in 2016. Prior to this, Chetan was the Chief HR Officer of Tata Power. Before joining Tata Power, Chetan Tolia was the Director of TMTC, Pune for over four years.
Previously, he was the CEO of Tata BlueScope Steel Limited, and led the formation of the 50:50 JV between BlueScope Steel and Tata Steel.
Chetanheaded the Strategy team at Tata Steel, where he led the development of Tata Steel’s growth strategy and anchoring its strategic planning processes. Earlier, Chetan had led the Pune Business Unit of Tata Ryerson Limited, and his foundational assignments at Tata Steel, were insales, and marketing.He studied at IIT Madras, and IIM Calcutta, before joining Tata Steel on the 1st of July 1987.
ANUBHAV KAPOOR
Anubhav Kapoor is Director of Legal Affairs – FORD INDIA and is based out of Pune. Anubhav has vast experience as in-house counsel which spans across various industries including IT, automotive, aerospace, pharmaceuticals and food.
Anubhav has handled multifarious areas such as M&A, arbitration & litigation management, structuring large business contracts, IPR, global compliances to list a few. Also, being a corporate secretary, he has also
dealt with high visibility boards and handled complex matters including those related to corporate governance, insider trading, private & public offerings. He was listed in Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Strategy 300 (http://www.iam-media.com/Strategy300/) among the World’s Leading IP Strategist and awarded as Star General Counsel 2017 of the year by Legal Era. He was recently also listed as “World Leading General Counsel”in 2018 by Legal Era.
He was earlier Cummins India Group Vice President and Group Company Secretary. Anubhav is passionate about innovation. He has helped large corporates like Tata Technologies,Microland Domino’s Pizza India, Polaris to name a few; devise their IP creation and monetization strategies. Mr. Kapoor has also handled contracts and litigations involving complex IP issues. He has also been involved with IP issues during M&A, spin-out and joint venture deals during his long career. He has spoken on several national and international forums on topics related to management of IP. He is also a serving member of CII Committee(s) on legal services and regulatory.
Anubhav was also heading the Global Corporate Sustainability and CSR function at Tata Technologies Anubhav has been leading Tata Technologies CSR and Corporate Sustainability strategy and policy. Anubhav has worked extensively in programs related to education of girls in engineering, promotion of diversity at workplaces and encouraging innovation and design thinking among engineers.Tata Technologies programs currently touch more than 600,000 beneficiaries. His much successful “Ready Engineer” program targeted towards promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) has been awarded National Education Excellence Award 2017 by ASSOCHAM for significant contribution done by the industry in education sector in India. He was also bestowed with an honorary Paul Harris Fellowship by Rotary International because of his contributions to e-learning and digital education in India and invited to speak at the Rotary International Convention at Canada in 2018.

Krishnava started his legal career at Calcutta High Court. He joined Amarchand Mangaldas in 2005 and was made partner in 2007. He retired from Amarchand Mangaldas in June 2009.
